“Growing up in the American Dream”
graphite, water colour and digital

A little experiment to see how saturated i can get water color over graphite. I first laid down a layer of powdered graphite, and began erasing and drawing in the forms. This made the paper bog down with graphite, and didn’t allow for color to hold well. Typically I like the way water color and graphite separate, but apparently there’s a fine line. Came out kinda interesting however. Enjoy!

Fabric or wall paper pattern. Very happy with how this turned out. Obviously based on vintage floral fabrics, however i tried to implement a sense of modernity using geometrics.

trying something new. Trying to juxtapose geometric shapes against black and white images. Like if you do, re-blog if you don’t. Or do both regardless.
I found this one on the beach, picked apart by seagulls, while looking for octopuses in the tide pools.
Bleached, hollowed, and under-lit.
So i think this is going to be the absolute last version. I wasn’t happy with the kids, so i “fixed” them… <3 if you do, reblog if you don’t.
Black and white water colour painting, before digital under painting.
